GIGA was established as a micro enterprise in 1999 from the garage of Peping and Joy de Villa. Their first product was a line of natural aromatherapy soap bars using virgin coconut oil as the main ingredient. They first sold the soaps to their friends and relatives who gave them away as gifts during the holiday season. They were pleasantly surprised when their friends started ordering soaps for their own use even after the Christmas season. The very encouraging results paved the entry into the manufacture of these soaps the following year.
GIGA has evolved from a micro enterprise to a medium sized business. Its product line boasts of a wide range of natural products in the following categories:

In 2005, GIGA opened its first brick and mortar store in Manila. Today, it operates mall based stores and are available in 30 other resellers in the Philippines. They are also available online at Alibaba as a gold supplier, Amazon USA, Lazada, Shopee, Zalora and a number of other Ecommerce sites.
GIGA’s main raw material is Virgin Coconut Oil. They source this ingredient from cooperatives working with small coconut farmers in the marginalized areas of the Philippines. This endeavor is personal to Peping being a son of a coconut farmer.
In recognition for its exemplary growth and performance GIGA received the following awards among others:
